God already knows what we need and want, so why still pray... shin said she asked jh (in jc lol) who said prayer is for our own minds, so we'll know its God when something happens.
A blog for all to discuss any bugging/burning/important questions about Jesus and God. You are not alone.
well im not really sure, but i think prayer is not supposed to be asking or begging God for something, but rather, proclaiming what is in heaven to be on earth (after peeking into heaven to see what's happening there). like Jesus said, 'let Your will be done on earth AS IT IS in heaven right'? So we're supposed to bring heaven down to earth. the only way is to look and see what God's doing in heaven, then bringing it to earth, one of the ways is by speaking and declaring.
ReplyDeletealso right, Jesus didn't come to make us into lazy and sloppy people. Jesus wants a queen whose capable and smart to co-rule and co-labor with Him. So in a sense, its not 'Jesus do everything'. Yes, Jesus did all He could to make the way for us. But now, He has brought us to a position where He allows us to co-labour with Him! He lets us work with Him! How cool is that! So by agreeing with Him through prayer, we get to exercise the power He has given us!
so actually, alot of the problems we face and happening on earth is coz christians aren't exercising the power they have.........Jesus has given us everything, just we're not utilising it..........
ok this is what i believe in, don't throw stones. haha.
Prayer=Talking to God
ReplyDeleteSomeone told me something interesting, he said. You should ask God once and for the rest of the times you pray, just give thanks. In this case seems he believes your prayer has the power to get things done.
This leads me back to the question of is there still a part to receive after he has given?
I like the question "he knows what he is going to do right?" Lol, so why pray?
I was thinking relationship. Since prayer= talking to God. prayer is to grow our relationship.
In the Bible, prayer which Jesus teaches the disciples to pray:
Our Father in heaven, F89
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come. F90
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
3Give us day by day our daily bread.
4And forgive us our sins,
For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one."
Looks like alot of payer REQUEST! But more so the questions seems to me also alot of reminders even as request are being made.
Back to the point of relationship, let me be honest, i don't hear God. (OMG just as i typed that my eyes just turned to the side and fall exactly on a book, first time in my life, its is called "the too precious Child" never read that book. LOL now is that God speaking to me?" I'll continue later after i read, stay tuned for more
